Over the years Elbow Cay has become famous for it's music festivals. Here's a bit more about these Festivals. They're worth a trip!

The Combustion Music Hope Town Music Festival is a memorable three-day-long celebration of music, song and giving, set against the spectacular tropical backdrop of the little island of Elbow Cay, Bahamas. Since it’s inception in 2013, the festival has brought big-time songwriters, who have collectively written over 100 #1 hit singles, to this incredible community. “It was my goal to introduce many of my songwriter friends to this special island that my family and I have grown to love over the past 12 years, and to introduce this great island and its residents to the incredible musical talent of these writers, and finally and most importantly, to raise a bunch of money for some very worthy local charities,” says Combustion music founder and President Chris Farren.

Songwriters in Paradise Festival

In 2013 Nashville-based singer songwriter Patrick Davis turned an offer to perform as a solo artist at The Firefly Sunset Resort in Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas into an opportunity. He saw the potential to turn a small solo gig into a songwriting festival and then brought the idea to life. The result of Davis’ decision was The 1st Annual Patrick Davis Songwriters in Paradise: Hope Town & since the inaugural event, Davis has now overseen the creation of a number of highly successful Songwriters in Paradise Festivals. Each takes place at world-class resorts and hotels in beautifully unique locations throughout the Bahamas, Mexico & the United States.

 

While each Songwriters in Paradise Festival is carefully crafted to adapt to each location, what never changes is night after night of the “In the Round” experience. This is an exclusive look into the circle of songwriters on stage swapping stories, anecdotes, and songs. This experience involves attendees in an intimate, yet lively musical performance that is rarely offered outside of the concert halls and listening rooms of Nashville, TN. This occurrence happens with some of the world’s most gifted and accomplished professional singer-songwriters each night at each & every SIP show.
